Mission & Objectives

This group promotes awareness and appreciation of Peruvian culture and traditions. It accomplishes this through cultural events and activities geared toward the Peruvian community, as well as, American and other ethnic cultural groups in Connecticut.

On November 17th, APAPRO celebrated their annual Taste of Peru event held at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Kitchen Caravan was there to share in the celebration and see what Peruvians have brought both culturally and gastronomically to the table. The music that you hear in the background is by Mestizo Manta, who performed live at the Taste of Peru event.

Our Objectives

• Foster a stronger relationship with Americans and other cultural groups
• Raise awareness and improve the image of Peru
• Maintain cultural traditions and sense of identity among Peruvian-Americans
• Encourage participation of all members and non-members in cultural initiatives
